The Genesis brand announced the Zircon 550 computer mouse, which supports wireless and wired data exchange. The novelty is already available for order at the approximate price of $60 USD.
The mouse has PixArt PMW3325 optical sensor with up to 8000 DPI (dots per inch) resolution. If necessary, this value can be decreased up to 200 DPI.
For wireless connection to PC, a small USB transceiver operating in 2.4 GHz frequency band is used. Wired connection is done via USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable with a length of 180 cm.
A total of seven programmable buttons are available. The main switches are designed for 20 million operations. There is a built-in memory for storing user settings.
A multicolor RGB backlight is implemented, which can be customized using the accompanying software.
The mouse has dimensions of 42 × 68 × 128 mm and weighs about 90 g. The polling frequency reaches 1000 Hz, the maximum acceleration – 20g. Compatibility with Windows, Linux and Android operating systems is guaranteed.
